This presentation introduces slip stitch colorwork as a more approachable way to work with color. It creates fabric that looks far more intricate than it is to knit, while keeping the process manageable and easy to follow.
Participants will see how the technique is constructed, how to keep their knitting even, and how small shifts in color placement can change the fabric's overall look.
The goal is to help knitters move past hesitation and feel confident trying slip-stitch colorwork on their own.
Supplies Needed:
A small amount of yarn in two or three contrasting colors and appropriately sized needles are all that’s needed to begin practicing the technique. Using colors with clear contrast will make it easier to see how the pattern develops.

The Guide is meant to carry that “this is actually doable” feeling beyond the presentation. It walks knitters through the basics in a way that feels manageable, then introduces them to my slip-stitch colorwork patterns, including the Second Glance Headbands, in the Guide. My goal is for attendees to feel confident to start applying the technique right away.
