Heather is a passionate knitting instructor with a mission to inspire creativity and build connections through fiber arts. With 25 years of leadership and management experience in corporate and community settings, she discovered her love for teaching and community building while organizing events and fostering relationships.

As the Yarn Queen at Yarncom and Head Fiber Freak for the Midwest Fiber Festival, Heather has become a vibrant leader in the fiber arts community. Her expertise extends beyond knitting techniques—she is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where people can learn, share, and grow together.

When she’s not teaching or brainstorming creative solutions as CEO of The Swan Factor, Heather enjoys traveling, camping, and spending quality time with her family and pets. Her goal is to inspire others to discover the joy and therapeutic power of knitting while weaving stronger bonds within the community.
