Lauren Rad
A Bee in the Bonnet • Designer
Lauren Rad is a former lawyer turned knitwear designer who designs soft, romantic knits for knitters who want a brief escape from the everyday. She took up knitting in law school to cope with stress and found deep comfort in the rhythmic repetition of stitching. That sense of peace drives her design philosophy, which centers on patterns that are just interesting enough to be engaging but not so complex that they lead to frequent mistakes.
Lauren lives in California with her husband and kid. When she’s not knitting, you can usually find her puttering about in her rose garden or collecting sea glass at the beach.
