Knitting cables without a cable needle is a technique anyone can learn and enjoy.
It frees you from keeping track of extra knitting tools while making your cable needle quick and enjoyable.

To practice the technique along with me during my lesson:
Please grab a skein of DK or worsted weight yarn in a solid color, as well as size 8 US/5.0 mm or size 9 US/5.5 mm knitting needles.
Cast on about 30 stitches, and knit 10-20 rows.

Beth Kirkpatrick
Designer
Beth has been knitting since she was 5 years old and has been designing professionally for the last 5 years. Her designs feature either simple colorwork patterns or simple cable patterns, meant to provide easy access to newer knitters while still being engaging enough for experienced knitters to find satisfying.
Beth's love of cables started early, as she stole her father's Irish Fisherman's Knit sweaters and realized she needed to be able to knit her own.
Over time, she has developed several tips and tricks to make cable knitting less intimidating and more fun. While her favorite trick is to knit cables without a 3rd needle, she has a few other tips she will be sharing in her presentation.
